As a professional therapist, my role is to guide you as you take steps towards positive life changes, healing, and a healthy mind. Together we’ll work to uncover and better understand life’s challenges and day-to-day stressors that detract from your life and focus, and begin identifying and practicing things that will make you stronger.

I consider all my patients to be more than just another name, or an appointment. Therapy is meant to be a completely individual experience, and I treat it as such, with deep compassion and absolutely no judgment. Not only do I want to provide support and encouragement for each of my clients, but it’s my goal to offer them practical resources that they can put into practice immediately in their lives. I used both modern approaches and tried and true methods to fit each client’s individual needs with understanding, no matter who they are, or their particular walk of life. Everyone can achieve more personal growth and strength, and it’s an honor to work on that together.

Other Services

Other services that are offered to help individuals, couples and families include the following:

PREMARITAL COUNSELING

A Minimum of four (4) counseling sessions for couples that are planning to get married. This intensive program includes compatibility assessment and other important marital considerations. A certification of completion is issued after the final session.

MARRIAGE COUNSELING

Relationships can be rather challenging. Whether a couple has a seasoned marriage or a more recent one, whether they need a relationship check-up or tune-up, or they are experiences life challenges; marriage counseling be very helpful in maintaining a stable relationship or getting a troubled one back on track.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

As the name implies; confidential individual counseling sessions are designed for one person only to address his/her personal or other concerns privately.

COUPLES COUNSELING

Like marriage counseling sessions; couples counseling sessions are designed for two people who are romantically linked. They do not necessarily have to be married.

FAMILY COUNSELING

Family counseling sessions involve multiple family members and they are designed to address concerns that affect the entire family.

PARENTING COUNSELING

Parenting support is available for all types of parenting arrangements. Children may or may not be involved in these sessions.

STRESS & ANGER MANAGEMENT

Various counseling techniques are employed to help individuals assess and manage stressful and anger-related concerns effectively

GRIEF COUNSELING

Although many individuals would like to live forever; the reality is that the death rate on our planet has consistently been 100%. Just thinking about it is often anxiety-provoking for some individuals. However, there are many counseling approaches that can be utilized, which could lead to a better understanding of the grief process and to better adjustment as well.

POST-DIVORCE ADJUSTMENT COUNSELING

For some individuals; adjusting to major losses like divorce can be more overwhelming than adjusting to the death of a loved one. This type of counseling is designed to help individuals cope more effectively following this major life-altering loss

CRISIS INTERVENTION

Many individuals face various crises at specific times throughout their lives. Crisis counseling is designed to help individuals deescalate crisis situations in a short time so that they can move ahead with their lives more effectively.

BRIEF (SINGLE AND TWO-SESSIONS) COUNSELING

Many individuals experience challenges for which long-term counseling may not be necessary. Those situations can often be addressed effectively in brief, single or two-session arrangements.

HYPNOTHERAPY/RAPID TRAUMA RESOLUTION

Many misunderstandings surround hypnotherapy and its usage. The reality, however, is that over the years, this very important mode of treatment has become very refined and today it is used very widely to resolve a number of significant psychological and other challenges.

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

Studies suggest that one in four Americans is either depressed or anxious at any given time. This finding makes depression and anxiety two of the most common mental health concerns in the United States. Because some depressed people do become suicidal, this condition should not be taken lightly.
